Had a fun time interviewing with Mick Jeffries, the long-time and award-winning host of WRFL-FM Radio “Trivial Thursdays” this morning. In case you missed it, here is an MP3 Audio file of the broadcast, courtesy of WRFL and Mick…edited by yours truly. Also in the studio with us was Leif Erickson. Great to meet and mingle with these two. Mick even surprised me by playing an Antsy McClain song during the interview. It is included below.
I am excited to announce that on THURSDAY (11/29) at 7:30 AM EST I will be a guest on one of Lexington’s longest running radio shows. Called Trivial Thursdays and hosted by long-time announcer Mick Jeffries, it can be heard locally in Lexington on WRFL-FM (88.1 FM). From outside Lexington, you can listen online at www.wrfl.fm. We will be discussing my travel books, among other things. You can also catch it as a Facebook LIVE Video feed. Hope you will give it a listen. Please share!! #choosehappy
Mick Jeffries hosts this award-winning, long-running radio show that is kind of a college radio version of a morning drive-time show — complete with lots of talking, laughing, and music. The weekly hijinx revolve slightly around the trivia associated with the given day of the show, interspersed with visits by artists, writers, musicians, and assorted community innovators. Trivial Thursdays is every Thursday from 7-9am on WRFL, and you can even listen online at www.wrfl.fm

As an After Halloween Treat, for a limited time you will be able to download both of my books – my newest — “Less Beaten Paths of America: Quirky and Offbeat Roadside Attractions” and also “Less Beaten Paths of America: Unique Town Names.” TOTALLY FREE!!
This is part of the Trick-Or-Treat Book Blog Hop hosted by Author Patricia Lynne.
Both of these volumes are collections of my many travels across the United States and Canada. As you know, I have photographed well-known and not so well-known attractions along the way. In this book I share my experiences and occasional challenges, but always provide some fun and personal anecdotal stories of the quirky and offbeat places that the large and small communities offer.
My first book is all about Unique Town Names and is all in black and white. My Second book features dozens of quirky and offbeat attractions from all over the U.S. and even in Canada. ALL of the photos are in FULL COLOR.
If you like what you see, please kindly leave a review for the book/books on Amazon. A certain author will deeply appreciate it!
Both books will be available for FREE and forever download from November 1 at 3 AM EST thru November 5 at midnight.
